Job Description:
As a Service & Support Technician, your primary responsibility will be ensuring the success of our customers using RAXTAR hoists and solutions. Your focus will be on transferring knowledge to customers, assisting with installations, and providing technical training and support. You will be part of the North American team and collaborate with the global Technical Support team.
This hybrid role requires flexibility, with work both from home and on the road, traveling across North America.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct on-site and classroom training for customers on the installation, operation, and maintenance of RAXTAR hoists.
- Install new construction hoist equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical systems and components.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues related to hoist operations.
- Respond promptly to service calls, diagnosing issues and making necessary repairs.
- Collaborate with customer service technicians to perform preventative maintenance and inspections.
- Evaluate existing equipment and provide input on modifications and new equipment proposals.
- Follow company procedures to maintain accurate work-related records.
- Work as part of a team to deliver high-quality service through strong communication and collaboration.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 4 years of experience as a Mechanical and/or Electrical Technician in the hoist industry.
- Strong independent work ethic with the ability to work as part of a remote team.
- Reliable, self-motivated, and organized.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Flexible, with the ability to work on-call for emergency repairs, including evenings or weekends if needed.
- Strong professional ethics.
- Must be willing to travel regularly within North America and occasionally to Europe.
- Valid passport.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
Work Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, with availability for on-call work during emergencies.
